Festival Mundial de Salsa Cali

The Festival Mundial de Salsa is Cali's city-run salsa festival, organized by the Secretaria de Cultura Distrital, with dance competitions in children, amateur, professional and elite categories plus dance and music workshops, talks, DJs and spaces for orchestras and record collectors. The 21st edition runs September 24 to 27, 2026 at the Coliseo El Pueblo (Complejo Alberto Galindo), with free entry to the main program. Created in 2005, it is held each September and anchors Cali's claim as the world capital of salsa; the 2026 edition also hosts the first Gran Cumbre Mundial de la Salsa, a summit of salsa cities of the Americas.
