Melvin & Gatica

Melvin & Gatica are a Norwegian and French bachata couple and the creators of Bachata Influence, a style built on connection, breathing, musicality, intention and energy. Gatica trained in ballet at the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, moved into salsa and bachata, and founded the Oslo dance school Dance it by Gatica in 2014, while Melvin runs his own dance school in France. Since forming their partnership in 2020 they have toured festivals across Europe and certify Bachata Influence teachers through their Influence Academy, and they teach bachata workshops at the Pure Bachata Summer Festival 2027 in Hurth, Germany. Melvin & Gatica are touring 11 festivals on the 2026 circuit, including Paris Bachata Vibe Festival 2026, BCN Dance Life BACHATA CONGRESS 2026, Bachata Geneva Festival 2026 and 8 more.
