About the studio
Salsa Rayo is a dance school in Agios Dimitrios, Athens, Greece, specializing in New York Style Salsa (On2) and Bachata. The school was founded in 2025 by award-winning instructor duo Konstantinos Bitsis and Anna Lontou, who first met as teenagers in 2018 sharing a passion for dance. Located at Thermopylon 19 near the Agios Dimitrios metro station (Line 2), the school runs classes Monday through Thursday from 19:00 to 23:00. The curriculum covers Salsa, Bachata, Mambo, Pachanga, Afro-Fusion, Boogaloo and Ladies Styling at beginner, improver, intermediate and open levels, with each 50-minute class followed by a 10-minute break. Monthly packages are accessible and flexible, ranging from Rayo 8 at 50 euros to Rayo 24 at 99 euros, with a 10% student discount and trial classes available on request. Salsa Rayo also incorporates Afro-Cuban Orisha traditions into its salsa training, reflecting deep respect for the dance's spiritual and cultural roots. The name 'Rayo' (lightning in Spanish) captures the explosive energy and warm, welcoming community atmosphere that defines the school.
