Farray's Center
About the studio
Farray's International Dance Center is a multidisciplinary dance academy in central Barcelona, accredited by CID-UNESCO and directed by renowned Cuban international dancer Yunaisy Farray. Founded in 2017 in a 700 m² studio at Carrer d'Entença 100, the school offers more than 25 dance styles ranging from authentic Salsa Cubana, Bachata Sensual, Timba and Afro-Cuban Folklore to Ballet, Contemporary, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Afrobeats and Heels. All Latin classes are taught by Cuban masters trained at the Escuela Nacional de Arte de Cuba (ENA), the ISA, and other elite Cuban institutions, including world Salsa LA champions Mathias Font and Eugenia Trujillo. Teaching follows the proprietary Método Farray®, which prioritises musicality, partner connection and progressive technical foundations over memorised figures. The school runs over 100 weekly classes structured by clear skill levels (Beginner, Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Open Level), with rotating partners so dancers can attend solo. Membership is flexible with no long-term commitment, monthly fees from 50 EUR or drop-in classes from 20 EUR. With more than 1,500 active students and 15,000+ alumni since 2017, Farray's has become one of Barcelona's most established dance and Cuban-style hubs.
Farray's International Dance Center was founded in 2017 by Cuban international dancer Yunaisy Farray and her partner Fábio after two years searching for the right location in Barcelona. They renovated a previously abandoned 700 m² space by hand with friends, teachers and an improvised crew. The academy was conceived not as a typical dance studio but as a sports-and-arts club with a social-integration mission, using dance as a tool for physical, mental and emotional well-being. Yunaisy, trained at the Escuela Nacional de Arte de Cuba (ENA) and known internationally through 'Street Dance 2', 'Got Talent' and 'The Dancer', developed the Método Farray® across two decades of teaching in Finland, Italy, Germany and Spain. By 2026 the school has 1,500+ active members, has trained 15,000+ students, and is accredited by CID-UNESCO. Outreach programmes extend dance to vulnerable communities including survivors of gender-based violence, women in prison, children and seniors.
