Ritmo Caliente Dance Academy
About the studio
Ritmo Caliente Dance Academy (RCDA) is one of Perth's most established Latin dance schools, running weekly classes and a social party every Tuesday night upstairs at the Leederville Hotel. Founded and led by Argentine-born School Director Liliana Sputore, RCDA teaches three levels each of Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba in 6-week course blocks. Classes run from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, followed by a social party from 9:30pm until midnight on the same venue, including a dedicated Kizomba rooftop terrace. The school emphasises connection, musicality, technique and ladies styling, drawing on Liliana's training with internationally renowned instructors such as Eddie Torres, Frankie Martinez and Daniel y Desiree. RCDA group classes teach LA-style "on 1" salsa on a line, while private classes cover Cuban, Colombian, New York and Puerto Rican styles. Bachata instruction spans Dominican, sensual and modern variants. Beyond regular courses, the academy offers private lessons, wedding choreography packages, hens-night classes and gift vouchers, making it a full-service Latin dance school for everyone from absolute beginners to performers.
Founded by School Director Liliana Sputore, who was born to Italian parents and raised in Argentina before settling in Perth. After years of training with internationally celebrated Latin dance teachers across Europe, the Americas and Asia, Liliana built RCDA into one of Western Australia's leading Afro-Latin dance schools. The academy operates from upstairs at the Leederville Hotel in the Leederville Precinct and has run weekly Tuesday-night classes and socials ("Latin Seduction Tuesdays") for many years.
