Scaniaplatsen Västra Hamnen

Bailemos at Scaniaplatsen is an outdoor Saturday night salsa and bachata party that runs through the summer on Malmö’s Västra Hamnen waterfront. The dance happens on the plaza itself — open air with the Öresund Bridge in view — so there’s no indoor room or raised stage; organisers use the square to carve out a compact dance area and alternate salsa and bachata sets.

The event is free (no cover), seasonal and weather-dependent, so expect wind and cooler temperatures after sunset. Shoes for a paved surface and a light layer are sensible. Space can be limited once music is underway, so arrive early if you want to secure a spot on the plaza rather than the edges by the water.
