About Dovercourt House
Held at the historic Dovercourt House on Dovercourt Road, Toronto Dance Fridays is a weekly multi-room Latin social. Doors open at 7:30 PM, lessons run from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and social dancing carries on from 10:00 PM until around 3:00 AM. The cover is 15 dollars Canadian with lessons included, and the night is licensed for 19 and over. The format rotates through the month: first Fridays lean Salsa and Bachata fusion across two rooms, second and fourth Fridays expand to a triple-room SBK All Stars night of Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba with four lessons, and third Fridays bring a Latin fusion mix.
With multiple dance floors, resident DJs and a stack of beginner-to-advanced lessons, this is one of Toronto's most reliable places to dance every week. No partner is needed and all levels are welcome, which makes it a comfortable landing spot for solo dancers and visitors. The Dovercourt House setting gives it a community-hall warmth rather than a nightclub feel.
