Zouk in Paris gives you 6 events a week, and all 6 are weekly socials. Sunday is the busiest night with 2 parties, and Friday also runs 2. Wednesday and Thursday add one each, so you can dance zouk four days out of seven. The scene is smaller than the other Latin styles here, but it runs steadily all week. Most socials happen in dance studios and lofts, with a few in bars and open-air spots along the water in warmer months. Zouk shares dancers with a large salsa and bachata crowd, so 15 salsa and 14 bachata events run in the same city, plus 9 kizomba nights. Rotating partners is normal, and coming alone works fine. The music is Brazilian zouk with a slow, connected lead-and-follow feel.
