Bachata in Medellin
Colombia
Bachata in Medellin runs three nights a week, and all three are weekly socials. Thursday is the strongest night, then Friday and Saturday. So you can dance the same style three days in a row, from midweek into the weekend. The scene here centers on a well-known dance studio in the El Poblado area, where classes and socials share the same floor. Nights usually open with a short class, then the social starts. The same venue also runs salsa, with three salsa events a week, so many dancers cover both styles in one place. Coming alone is normal in Medellin, and partners rotate freely once the music begins. Expect a mix of Dominican and sensual bachata across the week.
