Isla de Salsa is an open-air world beat and Latin culture festival held on the beach of Nokonoshima Camp Ground, a 10 minute ferry ride from Fukuoka city, and 2026 marks its 27th edition. The one-day festival runs Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 12:00 to 20:00, headlined by two-time Latin Grammy winners Septeto Santiaguero from Cuba. Around the main day, organizer NPO Tiempo Iberoamericano hosts a welcome party on Friday, September 18 and an after party on Saturday night at Tiempo Hall in central Fukuoka, both with salsa DJs and dance performances. Advance tickets cost 7,800 yen (early bird 6,800 yen), and junior high school students and younger enter free.
