Three nights are completely free, the most common paid cover is 10 euro, and the highest cover on a bachata night in our listings is 12 euro. Wednesday alone has five floors with bachata in the rotation, from a food court in the 13th arrondissement to a Montparnasse club.

Every fact in this guide comes from our Paris bachata listings: which night, where, what it costs and when the classes start. Almost every social here pairs a class with the party, so you can arrive early to learn and stay to dance. Here is the week, venue by venue.

La Pachanga: Bachata Four Nights a Week

La Pachanga at 8 Rue Vandamme in Montparnasse is the workhorse of the Paris scene: a restaurant and bar that flips into a Latin club four nights a week, with DJ-led salsa, bachata and kizomba on one floor. Wednesday and Saturday run from 9:30 PM to 2 AM with salsa classes from 7:30 PM, and Thursday goes from 10 PM to 2 AM with classes at 8 and 9 PM.

Friday is the night bachata dancers should circle: the classes that evening are bachata rather than salsa, starting at 7:30 PM before the social from 9:30 PM to 2 AM. As a venue, La Pachanga stays open until 2 AM on Wednesday and Thursday and until 5 AM on Friday and Saturday, so the weekend nights keep going long after the SBK set.

Bachatime Vendôme: 100% Bachata on Tuesdays

Tuesday belongs to Bachatime Vendôme by DJ MAK at Vendôme Club, a late-night club at 9 Rue Daunou in the 2nd arrondissement. The formula is generous: a beginner class at 8 PM, open level at 8:30, advanced at 9:15, then a 100% bachata social from 10 PM to 2 AM. The 10 euro entry covers the classes, the social and a drink.

One timing note from the venue's reviewers: the floor fills after midnight. Come for the classes if you want space to work on technique, and expect the real social energy in the last two hours.

Wednesday: The Biggest Bachata Night

No other night comes close. Besides La Pachanga, four more floors play bachata every Wednesday, and two of them are bachata-only. Dance In The City by Co-Imi runs a 100% bachata social at its studio inside Sensation Dance School at 105 Rue de Tolbiac in the 13th: beginner class at 8 PM, advanced at 8:45, party from 10 PM, all for 10 euro. A few streets away, Bachata Vibe Expérience by Capital of Fusion holds its own 100% bachata night at Salle Colonne on Boulevard Auguste Blanqui, classes from 8 PM and the social from 10 PM to 2 AM.

The other two Wednesday options are free. Le Comptoir Général on the Canal Saint-Martin alternates weekly between Colombian salsa and a bachata and merengue night, from 8 PM to 1 AM with a free initiation in the first hour; the dancing happens in the smaller rear room, and nights are occasionally privatized, so check ahead. And La Felicità, a 4,500 square metre Italian food court in the 13th, hosts a salsa, bachata and konpa evening from 7 to 11:30 PM with a lesson from Anto and music from Joss Mendes.

Thursday and Friday: Bastille, Pigalle and the 13th

Thursday offers three very different rooms. Le Balajo on Rue de Lappe in Bastille, the venue on this guide's cover photo, runs its Thursday Mixte: a salsa class from 7:30 to 8:30 PM, then a salsa, bachata and kizomba social from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, with club music after. Entry is 10 to 12 euro plus a mandatory 2 euro cloakroom. In Pigalle, a couple of doors from the Moulin Rouge, The Station hosts the free K'B'SA night by MamboSalsa from 9:30 PM, with kizomba classes at 7:30 and 8:30 PM and the bar open until about 3 AM. The third option is La Pachanga's Thursday, covered above.

On Friday, beyond the bachata classes at La Pachanga, Owen's on Avenue d'Italie in the 13th runs a small salsa and bachata social for 8 euro: class from 7:45 PM, dancing from 8:45 PM to midnight. There is no separate ballroom; the dining room and terrace are rearranged for dancing after the restaurant service, which keeps the night casual. Weekend Bachata: Bachamia and Bachata Vibe Paris

Saturday's bachata-only address is Bachamia at Sensation Dance School on Rue de Tolbiac, the same building that hosts Dance In The City on Wednesdays. Classes start at 8 PM and the social runs from 10 PM until around 2 AM. Two practical tips from the venue's reviewers: it is about two minutes from Olympiades metro, and the entrance is tricky to find, so allow a few extra minutes on your first visit. Prefer a club floor with salsa and kizomba mixed in? La Pachanga's Saturday party runs from 9:30 PM to 2 AM, and the rest of the day's options are on the Saturday listings page.

Sunday closes the week with Bachata Vibe Paris at Paris Épicentre, a hired event hall in the 12th arrondissement. Workshops start at 7:45 PM and the 100% bachata social runs from 10 PM to 2 AM. Because the hall is booked per event rather than run as a permanent club, the layout changes with each edition and the room can get warm, so dress light.
