About the duo
Carlos & Paz are a professional dance duo based in Madrid, Spain, and the founders of BachaZouk, a style that fuses bachata with Brazilian zouk. Carlos comes from Gran Canaria and Paz from Paraguay, and the pair turned professional in 2022 before founding their own company, Asento, in Madrid. Carlos has taken first place at the Brazilian Dance Festival 2024 and Weekendance 2024. They teach and perform at bachata festivals worldwide and appear at the Prague Bachata Dominant Congress 2027 in Prague, Czechia. Carlos y Paz are touring 8 festivals on the 2026 circuit, including Madrid Zouk Bachata Festival 2026, Paris Bachata Vibe Festival 2026, Bachata Geneva Festival 2026 and 5 more.
