Masacote Dance Company

Masacote Dance Company is the professional performance troupe of Masacote Entertainment, an Afro-Latin dance and music company founded in 2003 in Boston by dancer and choreographer Ana Tinajero and musician Joel Massicot. The company specializes in performing and teaching Afro-Latin dance, particularly salsa, often to live music from its own Ritmo Masacote Orchestra, and has taught and performed in more than 30 countries with featured appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Berklee Performance Center. Its honors include the 2009 Boston Dance Alliance R&R Fellowship and the 2015 New England Salsa Music Award for lifetime achievement in dance. Masacote Dance Company leads workshops at the Boston Salsa Festival 2026 (August 21 to 23) at The Westin Waltham Boston in Waltham, United States.
