About the instructor
Yohan Lamoru Ramos, born in Havana in 1977, is a Cuban dancer and instructor who trained at the Tropicana cabaret school and danced as a soloist with the Yoldace dance company before settling in the Basque Country. In 2019 he opened the Havana Dance school in Getxo (Bizkaia, Spain) with his partner Maya Romero Dalmau, teaching Cuban salsa, bachata, and Afro-Cuban dance. Performing as the duo Yohan y Maya, he took first place in Bachata Tradicional at the 2022 "La Negra" World Championship of Free Steps. He performs Cuban salsa at the Timbatonazo Summer Festival 2026 in Santa Susanna, Spain. Yohan Lamoru is touring 1 festival on the 2026 circuit, including Más que Cubano Festival BILBAO 2027 (5ª Edición).
