About the studio
Zouk Atlanta is a Brazilian Zouk dance school based in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded by Eddie Bonnell, Derek Merriweather, and Matthew Krivanek, who set out to build a thriving Zouk community in the southeastern United States. The school runs weekly group classes and a social every Wednesday night at the Garden Hills Recreation Center, offering Level 1 (beginner), Level 2 (intermediate), and Levels 3 and 4 (advanced) progressions through a structured monthly series. Although Brazilian Zouk is the primary style, instruction also draws on Lambada, Bachata, West Coast Swing, Salsa, and Tango influences in the higher-level classes. Drop-ins are welcome at $10 per Wednesday, with a $25 monthly membership giving unlimited access to that month's classes and social. New students can claim a free two-week trial, no partner is required, and the school maintains a 226K+ subscriber YouTube channel with millions of views. Zouk Atlanta also produces the Midnight Marathon festival, a flagship Brazilian Zouk weekend event for the regional dance community.
Zouk Atlanta was founded by Eddie Bonnell, Derek Merriweather, and Matthew Krivanek to grow Brazilian Zouk in Atlanta. The school established weekly Wednesday classes and socials in the Buckhead area at Garden Hills Recreation Center, and built a major online presence with the Zouk Atlanta YouTube channel (226K+ subscribers, 90M+ video views). It also produces the annual Midnight Marathon Zouk festival, with editions documented from at least 2018 and 2019.

Pricing
All series, workshops, and memberships are prepaid in full by credit card or cash. Series packages expire at the end of the calendar month. No refunds on workshops, series, or memberships after a monthly session has started.
