About the studio
House of Bachata Bali is a boutique Bachata school based in Canggu, founded and led by Russian instructor Regina Gumirova. The school specializes exclusively in sensual Bachata, teaching beginner and intermediate group classes five times a week across two studios in the Berawa and Nuanu areas. Beyond group lessons, House of Bachata offers private one-to-one sessions, couples privates, and wedding-dance preparation, as well as an online course called 'How to social dance in 14 days'. The mission is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where complete beginners feel empowered to step onto the dance floor with confidence and connection. With over 1,000 students trained and seven years of teaching experience, Regina focuses on smooth technique, body movement, and musical expression. Classes draw an international crowd of expats, digital nomads, and travelers who pass through Bali, and the school positions itself as a small but vibrant community hub for the island's growing Latin dance scene. The school does not currently host its own social nights or festivals, instead pointing students toward the wider Bali Bachata community for practice opportunities.
Founded by Regina Gumirova, a former competitive synchronized swimmer from Russia who discovered partner dance while living in China. After training in Bachata, Zouk, Salsa, and Kizomba, she relocated to Bali and built House of Bachata as a dedicated home for sensual Bachata on the island. As of 2026 the school reports more than 1,000 students taught and 7+ years of teaching experience.

Regina grew up in Russia, where she trained as a high-level synchronized swimmer before discovering her true passion for partner dance. While living in China she studied Bachata, Zouk, Salsa, and Kizomba, and now teaches Bachata full-time in Bali. She brings 7+ years of teaching experience and has trained over 1,000 students.
