Brussels Dance Project
About the studio
Brussels Dance Project (formerly Brussels Salsa Project) is a multi-style dance school in Brussels teaching Salsa, Bachata, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, Forró and African dances. Classes run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings across two indoor venues (Rue Brialmont 7 and Avenue Adolphe Buyl 87 in Ixelles) plus an outdoor summer location at Parc du Cinquantenaire. The school offers a structured beginner-to-intermediate progression with levels labelled Beginners, Improvers and Intermediates, plus combined 1+2 classes for smoother transitions. Couple rotation is standard so no partner is required, and absolute beginners are welcomed every week. Salsa is taught primarily in the LA / on1 style and Bachata in the traditional/sensual hybrid form common in Brussels. The school regularly hosts its own parties, with discounted entry for subscription and pack holders. Pricing is flexible with monthly subscriptions, multi-class packs, gift cards and reduced rates for students and unemployed dancers.
Founded by André as 'Brussels Salsa Project', a structured beginner-focused salsa program for Brussels designed around fundamentals (rhythm, partnering, posture, body movement). The project grew steadily, adding Salsa Improvers and Intermediate programs, parties, Bachata Beginners and Improvers, Swing/Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, African Dances, Lady Styling and a full Forró program (Intro, Modules and Roots). It was rebranded as 'Brussels Dance Project' to reflect its expansion beyond salsa into a broader Latin, Swing and African dance community.
