About the studio

Dublin Salsa Academy (DSA) is Ireland's leading Latin dance school, located at the Harbourmaster venue on Custom House Quay in the IFSC, Dublin 1. Founded over a decade ago in 2014, the academy specialises in three core styles: Sensual Bachata, Line Salsa (Cross-Body / LA-style) and Cuban Salsa (Casino, including Rueda de Casino). Group classes run every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 18:30 to 21:30, with a structured progression that takes students from a 4-week Beginner course through Levels 2 to 5, each built on 16-week routines in 4-week blocks. Every class night ends with a dance social from 21:30, which is open to all levels and costs only EUR 5 at the door. The school explicitly rotates partners in every class, so no partner is required, and students can switch between styles flexibly month to month. Pricing is transparent and budget-friendly: drop-in classes are EUR 15, regular monthly passes range from EUR 55 (4 classes) to EUR 155 (unlimited), and bundled beginner combos start at EUR 55 for a 4-week course. Beyond classes and socials, DSA also offers private lessons, gift vouchers from EUR 15, and a vibrant community of 370+ active students from 25+ nationalities, making it a strong fit for newcomers, expats and experienced dancers alike.

Dublin Salsa Academy was established in 2014 and has grown over more than 10 years into Ireland's leading Latin dance academy, with 400+ five-star reviews and a community of 370+ active students from 25+ nationalities. Founded with a passion for Latin culture, the school originally built its reputation on Salsa and added Sensual Bachata as the style exploded in popularity, eventually settling on its three signature offerings: Sensual Bachata, Line Salsa and Cuban Salsa. Founders Alina and Abel grew the team by recruiting and training top dancers from Dublin's scene, including current Director Kevin Brennan and Senior Instructor Jonathan Navarrete, both of whom rose through the ranks at DSA. The academy now operates from the Harbourmaster venue at Custom House Quay (IFSC, Dublin 1), running classes and socials every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and consistently positioning itself as the city's most popular Latin dance hub.
