About the studio

3rd Street Dance is an iconic Los Angeles dance studio founded in 1979 and located at 8558 W. 3rd St. between Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Beverly Center. The studio offers one of the most comprehensive social and partner dance programs in LA, with regular ongoing classes in salsa (beginner through advanced, including LA-style on1 and Mambo/Salsa on2), bachata, kizomba, zouk, hip hop, swing, ballroom, Argentine tango, ballet, and more. Five custom-built studios with sprung hardwood floors, mirrors, sound systems and natural light host beginning-through-advanced levels in each major style. The studio is led by renowned dance educator Leslie Ferreira and a hand-picked team of professional instructors who also work in TV, film, and stage. 3rd Street Dance has been featured on Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Dance Moms, and various MTV/VH1 music videos. Membership tiers (Unlimited, Ultimate, Premiere) include monthly Latin socials, dance bootcamps, and specialty workshops, and the studio partners with the LA Bachata Festival each February. New students can try a $99 two-week unlimited pass to get started.

Founded in 1979, 3rd Street Dance Studio has been a cornerstone of the Los Angeles social dance community for over 45 years. The historic studio has been featured on Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Dance Moms, various TV series, commercials, and MTV/VH1 music videos. Today the studio is owned and led by renowned dance educator Leslie Ferreira.
