Corrientes

Corrientes is a community-run dance hall in "Halle 2 west" at Dornacherstrasse 192 — a single multipurpose hall used for tango and Latin nights rather than a bar venue. The weekly Salsaparadies on Wednesdays is the main salsa night (21:00–00:30); the venue calendar also lists bachata and kizomba slots and a typical cover of CHF 10. Expect an open hall floor with chairs and tables around the perimeter; programming is organised by the Tango Förderverein Corrientes and the site lists frequent tango and other Latin events.

Practicalities: arrive after 21:00 for the social, as the event starts then and closes about 00:30. The location sits in an industrial event area in Basel — public transport is typical for the city but routes may be less frequent late. Check the Corrientes calendar for last-minute changes. Wear non-marking shoes suitable for a large hall floor.
