Salsa Foundation

This is a class-first studio in the Melbourne CBD that runs a steady timetable of salsa and bachata training and a monthly “La Fiesta” salsa–bachata party. If you’re turning up to social dance, your easy entry point is the free beginners class (Wed/Thu 18:00 and Sun 15:30 advertised) and the progressive Level 1–4 courses that follow. Classes rotate partners; instructors emphasise On1/On2, musicality and shines rather than stage performance. Social dancing outside class hours is infrequent — the bigger social is the monthly La Fiesta party, so check the studio calendar before heading out if you want a late-night floor rather than an evening class.
