The Aegean Restaurant

Thursdays at The Aegean are a weekly Kizomba class-and-social in Fitzroy run under the "Let’s Kizomba" banner. There’s a free Intro to Kizomba 7:30–8:15 and an Open Level class listed around 7:30–8:30, then the social runs 8:15–11:00. Music mixes Kizomba, Urban Kiz, Tarraxo and Semba; social entry is $15 and classes are free.

Dancing happens inside the Aegean’s two-storey Victorian dining room and the adjoining courtyard on Brunswick Street, so the floor shares space with restaurant tables. Organisers named on the event page include Katherine, Marina, Mayur and Tony and tickets are sold via TryBooking (some nights use a waitlist) — arrive early if you want to join the intro. The event copy explicitly says no partner needed, and the set-up is compact: the social finishes at 11pm, so expect a focused, early-evening session rather than a late-club night.
