Melahuset

Melahuset is a city cultural house that programmes live world music, concerts and festival events rather than operating as a permanent dance club. The layout is practical: a small bar and reception area with a piano, a main room with a raised stage and concert seating, and a back room used for exhibitions and smaller gatherings; the programme changes week to week.

If you're coming to dance, treat most nights as concert nights. Occasional Latin evenings — salsa and bachata appear on the events calendar, often as single, ticketed nights — are interspersed with world‑music gigs. There isn't a purpose-built social-dance floor; when a dance night is scheduled an open area is usually improvised in front of the stage and seating often remains.
