Påfuglen's Skippergata room is a small, rentable basement that hosts occasional salsa nights — usually on Tuesdays. The space is a cosy, renovated cellar (capacity 80, seating for 45) with a bar, projector, kitchen and an in-house sound system; the venue page also states you may bring your own drink. It's about 200 m from Oslo S, so easy to reach by foot or public transport.

The layout is basically one room with flexible seating pushed back to create a compact dance floor, so expect dozens rather than hundreds on a dance night. Events are promoter-run or private hires, so door policy, cover and music mix change with the organiser; check the event listing. Google shows weekday closing around 01:00 (later at weekends), so nights wrap earlier than club venues. Note several online reviews mention communication problems with the landlord and a worn interior — that matters more if you plan to rent the space than if you're going to a promoted dance night.
