Dance Mambo, Ultimo

Dance Mambo is a purpose-built Mambo (On2) studio that runs a technique-first curriculum and year-round choreography projects. The teaching space is a single 100 m² studio with mirrors along one wall, full RGB lighting, two EV ZLX 12 BT speakers and air conditioning — classes feel like focused training rather than a casual social night. Instructors emphasise musicality, shines and partnerwork; the school advertises term‑long coaching and annual choreography teams.

New students begin with a complimentary assessment to place you; drop-in classes are listed on the site (about AU$27.27 per session). The studio is also available for hire and can host night events until midnight. Located on Harris Street in Ultimo, it’s easily reached by train, bus or light rail. Expect small, class-sized groups rather than a large social floor — this is where people come to train and progress, not a big open social for random late-night dancing.
