Salsa Dancing in Bali: Socials Every Night (2026 Guide)

Where to dance salsa in Bali in 2026: weekly socials in Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, Sanur and Uluwatu, six free nights, live bands, start times and prices.

By Colin · · Updated · 10 min read

Bali has a weekly Latin social every night of the week. Our listings track 25 weekly events across the island, six of them completely free, and salsa is on the floor all seven nights. The scene is spread out rather than centralized: Ubud alone offers socials Monday through Saturday, the Seminyak and Canggu strip runs club and restaurant nights, Uluwatu dances on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Sanur brings out a live band on Thursdays, and Sunday belongs to Legian and Kerobokan.

Every event in this guide comes from our Bali salsa listings, with the days, start times and prices we track for each venue. Expect mixed floors: bachata plays everywhere salsa does, kizomba joins at most socials, and zouk has its own weekly circuit in Ubud. Distances on the island are real, so this guide is organized by area to keep your scooter rides short.

Ubud: Salsa Six Nights a Week

Ubud is the busiest corner of the island for social dancing, and two venues anchor the weeknights. Herb Library on Jl. Jembawan runs free socials on Tuesday and Wednesday, both from 7:30 to 10 PM, with salsa, bachata, kizomba and zouk in the rotation. Pilleyar Bar & Kitchen on Pengosekan street, opposite the Blanco Museum, holds its social twice a week, Monday and Thursday from 8 to 10:30 PM. Dancers share the open terrace and indoor dining area with diners, and Thursday tends to draw the biggest crowd.

Friday puts two options on Jl. Monkey Forest. CP Lounge runs its salsa and bachata night from 8 PM with a live Latin band by the outdoor pool. Entry is free, singlets for men are not allowed, and after midnight the crowd shifts to DJs in CP Club. A few doors along, Laughing Buddha Bar hosts its own salsa and bachata night from 8 to 10:30 PM.

On Saturday, Enclave on Hanoman street clears its bistro tables for a free salsa, bachata and kizomba social from 8 to 10 PM. The venue runs Latin nights on both Friday and Saturday, Saturday is the busier of the two, the small floor fills fast, and everything wraps by about 11:30 PM. Bachata dancers get a second Saturday option: Mad Monkey Bachata runs from 9 to 11 PM on the rooftop bar at MaxOne Hotel Ubud, near Monkey Forest.

Canggu and Seminyak: Restaurant Floors and Club Nights

The southwest coast starts its week gently. Amber Resto Seminyak in Kerobokan runs a free salsa, bachata and kizomba social twice a week, Monday and Thursday from 7 to 9 PM. In Canggu, Jalapeño on the Tibubeneng dining strip lists a Monday Latin night from 7 to 11 PM, but the venue hosts these socials on an occasional basis with tables pushed back, so check ahead before riding over.

Tuesday is the big Seminyak night. La Favela, the club-scale Latin-themed venue styled like a Spanish hacienda, hosts a live band playing salsa and bachata from 8:30 to 10:30 PM. Doors open from 7 PM, the door check is strict, and the floor fills between 11 PM and 3 AM. For an earlier and calmer Tuesday, Litut Bar & Restaurant on Jl. Mertanadi in Kerobokan runs its social from 7 to 10 PM.

Midweek moves to Canggu: Amavi on Jl. Pantai Berawa holds its SBK social every Wednesday from 9 PM to midnight, with DJ-led salsa, bachata and kizomba on a compact indoor dancefloor beside the poolside lounge. The kitchen stays open through the evening.

Thursday belongs to Red Ruby on Jl. Petitenget, a nightclub that plays house and techno most nights but hands its central floor to a salsa, bachata and kizomba DJ set from 8 PM. It is busiest between 11 PM and 3 AM, and reserved tables can shrink the open dance space. On Friday, Cafe Dunia on Jl. Raya Seminyak clears space for its social from 8 to 11 PM. The café layout is compact, hosts dance with customers, the evening wraps by 11:30 PM, and there is no parking on site. Sunday closes the week late: Midaz Bali on Jl. Petitenget pushes its tables back for one open floor from 10 PM to 1 AM, cover around 100K.

Uluwatu: Tuesdays and Saturdays on Jl. Labuansait

Uluwatu's dance nights line up along one road in Pecatu. On Tuesday, Rolling Fork, an Italian restaurant on Jl. Labuansait, runs a salsa and bachata party from 8 PM: social dancing with pros from 8 to 9:30, then a live band from 9:30, played out across the garden terrace and the indoor Balinese joglo with dancing fitted around the tables. Entry is free with dining, or IDR 100,000 including the after-party at Club Corazon up the same street.

Saturday brings the Salsa Fiesta at Hatch Bar, a multi-level shipping-container venue a few doors down. The DJ-led salsa and bachata night starts at 8:30 PM and the venue stays open until 3 AM. The interior gets hot, so dress light. Also on Saturdays, the Mad Monkey hostel on the same road runs a bachata social in its bar and pool area, with a crowd of hostel guests and international travellers and a casual dress code.

Sanur and Legian: Live Band Thursdays and Sunday Socials

The photo at the top of this guide shows Bakfickan Bar in Sanur, a venue also listed locally as Casablanca Sanur, whose big night is Thursday. A live Latin band plays salsa, bachata and kizomba with room in front of the stage to dance. The social starts at 8 PM, the bar itself runs from about 5 PM, and the room is busiest between 9:30 PM and half past midnight. It is the only live band night on the east side of the island in our listings.

Sunday is Legian's day, and you can chain three events into one long session. Start at 2:30 PM with the Azul Beach Social at Azul Beach Club on Jl. Padma, an open-air beach club where salsa, bachata and kizomba play across the poolside and dining levels rather than a dedicated floor. From 7:30 to 10:30 PM, Social Sunday at Mezza Mediterranean Cuisine inside Warung Italia on Jl. Arjuna Kaja is free. Then finish at Midaz Bali in Kerobokan, where the late social runs until 1 AM.

Zouk Nights in Ubud

Brazilian zouk has its own weekly circuit in Ubud. Bara Studio at Karma House in Penestanan, an Afro-Latin dance studio with a chai bar, hosts two socials: the Cremoso Zouk Party on Monday from 7 to 11 PM (150K) and a Zouk Social on Thursday from 7 to 10 PM (50K). On Saturday, CP Lounge on Jl. Monkey Forest runs a Brazilian Zouk Party from 7 to 11:30 PM with a class from 6 to 7 PM, entry 150K.

If you dance zouk casually rather than as your main style, the mixed socials at Herb Library (Tuesday and Wednesday) and Pilleyar (Monday and Thursday) both include zouk in their playlists, so you can get your fix without a separate night out. Browse all zouk events in Bali for the full picture.
