About the studio

Callesol is a Latin and Afro-Caribbean dance school founded in 2004 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, dedicated to teaching Cuban salsa, bachata, Afro-Cuban dance, rumba, reggaeton and related Latin styles. Created by Nadege Guillou and run alongside Bairam and Joachim, the school is built around a structured pedagogy that has been refined for over twenty years and combines technical dance instruction with anatomy, posture (De Gasquet method) and personal-development coaching to help students progress without injury or pressure. Weekly classes run from beginner foundations through level 2+/3 and an advanced Perfectionnement track, with separate Bachata levels 1 and 2, Afro-Cuban dance, Afro-Cuban rumba and a long Saturday afternoon practica for salsa and bachata. The school welcomes solo dancers and couples and is explicitly beginner-friendly, with up to three free trial classes available via the BSport booking app. Beyond regular classes, Callesol organises monthly socials ("Mensuelles"), guest workshops with international instructors such as Kouame, an annual Latin weekend trip in Normandy and seasonal afternoon stages. The team also runs wellness offerings (postural gym, Bulle wellbeing days, life coaching, Sport on Prescription) alongside the dance programme. Pricing is on a quarterly or semester subscription basis with 10-class punch cards and drop-ins, and the studio also rents the room out for external use. Communication and teaching are primarily in French.

Callesol was founded in 2004 by Nadege Guillou and has been sharing Cuban salsa and Afro-Caribbean dance in Paris for over twenty years. The school is now run by a leadership team of Nadege, Bairam and Joachim, supported by a roster of long-standing instructors. Over the years it has built a distinctive pedagogy combining traditional Latin dance teaching with anatomy, posture work (De Gasquet method) and personal-development coaching. The school is well known in the Paris Cuban-salsa scene for its monthly Mensuelle social parties at Salle Colonne (94 boulevard Auguste Blanqui, 75013 Paris), which have been running for around eight years, as well as an 11-edition annual Latin weekend trip in Normandy.
