The Victorian's Thursday is run by Dancer University and split across two floors, salsa on one and bachata on the other. Classes come first on the main floor, salsa at 20:00 and bachata at 20:45, both taught by Nicole Gil and both rotating partners. Social dancing runs from 21:30 to 01:30.
The $15 ticket covers the classes as well as the social. The salsa room mixes salsa romántica, mambo, pop salsa and timba; the bachata room stays with modern tracks and skips most remixes.
The venue is at 2640 Main St in Santa Monica, and it works as a restaurant and bar on Friday and Saturday too, seafood, steak and pasta on the menu. Doors open at 17:00 on Thursdays.
