About Arcana (Moorooka)
Arcana is a warehouse-style function venue at 46 Evesham Street in Moorooka, minutes from the Brisbane CBD, and its calendar runs on weddings, theatre and conferences. The dance fixture is the Friday zouk social, and entry runs $20 to $25.
The Empress Room is the main party space: five-metre black velvet curtains on all sides, a professional PA with microphones, a full lighting rig and a 4K projector. It takes 200 standing or 180 seated, and it also gets set for groups of around 80, so the room shrinks to the size of the night.
Getting there is easy. There are 26 parking bays on site and up to 200 free street spaces around it, with a train station and a bus stop both a short walk away.
