Salsa & Bachata at Cloudland, Brisbane

Cloudland is a multi-room heritage complex on Ann Street whose Palais room becomes the city’s Thursday salsa night: Soul’Sa runs salsa (DJ-led with occasional live band) with a bit of bachata, usually behind a small cover (AUD 10–15). Palais is the late-night dance space; other on-site spots, Cloudland Garden and Valley Hops rooftop, stay restaurant/bar-first, so the dancing concentrates in Palais. You can walk in same day.

Palais opens evenings (Thu–Sat from about 17:00) and Cloudland keeps late hours on weekends; the dance floor tends to be active after 23:00, so if you want the floor buzzing arrive late. The complex has several rooms (Palais, Rose/Heritage rooms and an underground level) so events can spill into private spaces. You’ll find a club-style sound system and a mixed crowd of social dancers and clubbers in Fortitude Valley’s Ann Street nightlife strip; transport and paid parking are a short walk away.
