Salsa at Gasteig HP8 (Halle 8), Munich

Gasteig HP8 is Munich's interim cultural campus in Sendling-Obersendling, and roughly once a month its landmark Halle E, a heritage-protected former transformer hall, turns into a salsa floor. The evening is run by Santana Dance and starts at 7:00 PM with a taster class for couples and solo dancers, easing newcomers into salsa before the real fun begins. From 8:00 PM until midnight, DJ Javier spins for the open party, and the high galleries above the floor mean you can also just watch the action from above if you want a breather.

Entry is free, which keeps the crowd broad and welcoming: curious first-timers, students, and regulars from the Munich scene all mix here.
